stay lifted girl offers a diverse selection of high quality paper products and gift items. although most of the images you see are created in-house by our incredible design team, we also purchase artwork from freelance artists including graphics and photography. in an effort to continually enhance our portfolio of products, we always welcome the opportunity to review your submissions.

we currently offer greeting cards, invitations and note cards from original art. our standard counter card size is 5" x 7" single-fold with vertical orientation.  note cards range from 4 1/4" x  5 1/2" to 5" x 7" and vertical or horizontal orientation is fine. we also produce invitations and more elaborate cards so let us know if you have ideas for die-cut, multi-panel, pop-up or other premium card designs. in general, we do not publish fantasy or erotic illustrations. for multiple submissions, please limit your pieces to 12 works at one time, preferably in a neat notebook format.  

please do not send final artwork for unsolicited consideration.  printed pieces are preferred, although we will consider good color copies and color photographs.  since color is one of the main criteria by which we judge your work, make sure that the samples you send represent your actual color style as closely as possible.  for photography, we ask that you send duplicate slides or color prints. in addition to color usage, we also look for concept, style, drawing skill, and relevancy when reviewing your samples. 

stay lifted buys exclusive world rights to reproduce artwork as greeting cards, packaged cards, stationery, gift bags, gift boxes, gift wrap and a variety of other products.  fees are relative to the type of product being produced.  if submitted, original artwork is returned to (and remains the property of) the artist.

when submitting unsolicited artwork:

• do not send final artwork. send slides, color copies, printed pieces, photographs or roughs. make sure to include your name, address, phone number and © somewhere on each piece.
• include a self-addressed envelope with sufficient return postage. PLEASE NOTE: your artwork will not be returned without a stamped self-addressed envelope, and we are not responsible for artwork lost or damaged by the postal service.
• please allow four to six weeks for a response.

all compensation is determined between the artist and the art director at the time the assignment is made.  prior to beginning work on your first assignment with stay lifted, a master license agreement must be signed.
